Travel Style – Vintage Shrug & Crystal Jewelry
As soon as I reached UK, one of the very first places I visited was the Greenwich Prime Meridian and here’s what I wore when I went there. Anyways, since I went only to the Observatory and nowhere else, I visited Greenwich again, this time for Cutty Sark and Maritime Museum and here comes what I wore for the trip.
Remember this shrug? I’ve worn it here and here. Its an vintage piece, more than 20 years old! I wore it as a waistcoat with a matching skirt when I was a toddler, then, as I grew out of it, it went to my cousin, and as she grew out of it, I realized I could wear it as a shrug by then! So it came back to me!!! Its handmade applique work done at Pipli town in Orissa, India, and is called Pipli work. Its filled with little motifs that depict their day to day life and things they see and know!!!
This time I matched it with a simple tee and trousers. However I went with heavy eye makeup and subtle crystal jewelry in same sap green as my shrug! What say? Of the 3 looks with this shrug, which do you like the most??? Check out more about Cutty Sark and Maritime Museum on My Travelogue.
Btw, there was on the 1st floor of the Maritime Museum was this huuuuuge world map. Ofcouse I had to take a pic on Mera Bharat Mahaan, my dearest India!!!
