How to Wear – 3 Biggest Autumn Trends
Are you ready for a slightly different post than usual? As soon as the New York fashion week was over, i packed my bags, caught the overnight flight and landed straight into the city where I feel most comfortable – London. There was no time to rest, attend numerous spa treatments and reenergise, but the adrenaline kept me going. Straight from the 8 hour flight I went into a quick shower and a photo shoot which I am about to present you now.
I teamed up with Swarovski and Wolf & Badger to show you some of the top trends for autumn, when it comes to jewellery and fashion. You might think that this is unusual combination, but actually it totally makes sense. Even though Swarovski is world famous for its crystals and for collaborations with fashion houses like Versace and Jean Paul Gautier they are also proud and happy to support upcoming designers and programmes, which is why the collaboration with Wolf & Badger made total sense.
I jumped on board to help them show you top three trends featuring pieces you can find in Wolf & Badger boutiques in Notting Hill and Dover Street. Without further chit chat I will reveal my tips for looking trendy this autumn.
Trend 1 – Frills
Probably my favourite of all, frills are just so much fun to wear. You must have noticed that I wear a lot of frills anyway, as they are feminine, and so easy to wear. You can have them on sleeves, collars, bottoms of your jeans, sweaters or dresses. The options are unlimited. In the photos we shot in London you can see me wearing the frilled shirt. I love these kind of sleeves, they are interesting, different and add a bit of fun to otherwise simple outfit.
I must add that jewellery plays a pretty important role in this look. Sometimes good details are all you need for a perfect finish, agree?
I WORE:
TROUSERS-VIELMA
SHIRT-THE BEE’S SNEEZE
BAG-LAUTEM
JEWELLERY:
Trend 2 – Metallic
Metallic is here to stay. I have seen it even on catwalks for the next season. Mainly leather jackets, leather trousers in both gold and silver. If you are not really sure how to wear it start of with small details such as clutch bags or ankle boots. This whole look is taken to the extreme a little bit, but I must admit that the feminine dress by Scottacus Anthony gave it a lighter note. What do you think? Yay or Ney for metallics?
I WORE:
DRESS-SCOTTACUS ANTHONY
JACKET-GYUNEL
BOOTS-GANOR DOMINIC
BAG-BULGARI
Trend 3 – Slip Dress
The spaghetti straps and straight cut is what describes this trend. You need a light weight silk or maybe even light velvet dress, then a cute turtleneck. Put the two together and some ankle boots to get the top result. This is probably one of the trendiest looks currently, and I like seeing it. It might not be something 100% me, but I do like it for now and then.
While I was picking the pieces for the shoot I insisted on this bag, it added such an appropriate mood to the whole look. The jewellery too. It was important to wear something that looked cool, relaxed and not too dainty. I love the final result. This is the final of my top three trends, and now I am very curious to hear which one is your favourite?
