We teamed up with Swarovski and some of the hottest bloggers on the scene to show you how to wear 10 of autumns biggest trends. Tamara Kalinic, Maja Malnar and Diipa Khosla joined us in our Notting Hill store and helped us choose the perfect Swaorvski crystal jewellery to pair with the looks.
‘Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.’ William Morris
I grew up surrounded by William Morris prints, my childhood house had William Morris curtains, cushion covers, chairs and just lengths of fabric waiting to be sewn up.
A great admirer of his prints I made a trek some years back to North East London’s Walthamstow, the most unlikely of locations it seemed to me at the time, to house such a gallery. As it transpires, this used to be William Morris’s family home from 1848-1856.
An invitation to eat at Raymond Blanc’s ‘Le Manoir aux Quat’Saison’ is not one to be taken lightly, and most definitely not one for refusing. So when my mother told me that on her list of ‘things to do’ she still had to eat at Le Manoir, I obliged and very quickly. I made the booking some 3 months ahead and was mentally counting down the days.
Years of hard work do pay off, these days I am often invited to events held in what I can only describe as rather ‘fabulous’ places. My idea of a fabulous is a place that visually takes my breath away.
I know I wax lyrical about London and my love of this metropolis so whilst I believe I know it pretty well (which I do, of coruse :)) there are always new places, new buildings, new cafes and new views to explore.
Quite hard to believe that last week we attended the Swarovski launch event for summer 2016, feels like only yesterday I shared with you what is forecast for Winter 2015.
As always it was a beautiful event held in central London, with lots to see and much inspiration to be had.
4 key trends- Classic, Progressive, Romantic, and Glamour took centre stage, each one positive and with something else to offer. So what did I like???
